Our friends at Change Labs have partnered with Nav

Our friends at Change Labs have partnered with Navajo-owned Hundred Storms Creative to bring visibility to this injustice. In late July Change Labs put up two biodegradable installations on one of the largest BIA buildings on Main Street and the vacant Van’s Trading Post on Highway 160. Both installations feature black and white photography of Navajo and Hopi entrepreneurs working from home and are reminders of the hundreds of Native American entrepreneurs in our communities who are otherwise invisible to the outside community.

We can all make a difference.

Supporting local Native American owned businesses will make the biggest difference in the generations to come.

1) Spend your dollars at local Native American businesses and help them grow in our community. You can find them on RezRising.org.

2) Sign Change Labs' petition asking Arizona Congressman O’Halleran to request congressional funds to clean up vacant BIA buildings and repurpose them for Navajo and Hopi small businesses -- change.org/biacleanup

Pretty excited about this Catapult-initiated piece and the great folks we got to collaborate with! A big thanks to @navajohopicovid19relief @native_startup and @indigedesigncollab for your guidance and creative input on this work, illustrated by the talented @drawingupastorm

Catapulters saw an urgent need to adapt CDC guidelines to the Navajo context to make it more relatable, relevant, and actionable. With the support from one of our incredible donors, we were able to make this small contribution to the collective response against COVID-19.

Looking forward to seeing these illustrations be shared by the Relief team across the Navajo Nation through their Kinship Care Packages.
