Trevor Zimmer

Trevor has extensive experience in design strategy, creative facilitation, and management, specializing in public health. Before joining Catapult Design, he directed the COVAX delivery unit responsible for supporting countries in administering COVID-19 vaccines. Previously, Trevor was an Associate Partner and Design Director at Dalberg Design, helping to lead the firm’s health and innovation practice. He has applied his focus on creative facilitation, design research, innovation, and storytelling to global health, change management, and new ventures. His work spanned 20+ countries, partnering with community-based organizations, international non-profits, funders, bi- and multi-laterals, early-stage innovators, and pharmaceuticals.

Before Dalberg, Trevor worked with the Clinton Foundation. During a secondment with the South African Department of Health, he worked on an HIV treatment optimization study. He also coordinated the operations and budget for a program to increase children’s access to essential medicines.

Trevor holds a master’s degree from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, he remains dedicated to advancing equitable health solutions through design.

His relevant design work with Catapult Design includes building capacity and opportunities for local designers in Senegal, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Kenya through a Gates Foundation project called “Gender Equality Design Labs.”
