Unmesh is the founder of Oceanic Circles, a collective dedicated to research, design, and innovation for systems change and social impact. With a career spanning healthcare, consumer, enterprise, and industrial technologies, Unmesh has worked across India, China, and the United States, bringing a global perspective to his work.
Previously, Unmesh led global design teams at Honeywell and Philips, where he advanced innovative solutions across diverse industries. Earlier in his career, he co-founded Design Matters, a consultancy focused on design and appropriate technology. His contributions to design have been recognized internationally, with awards including the 2009 INDEX: Award, the Red Dot, the Red Dot: Eco Habitat Award, the Design for Asia Award, the IDEA Bronze Eco Award, and the iF Award.
Unmesh holds a degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s in industrial design from IDC, IIT Mumbai. His work continues to exemplify the power of design to drive sustainable and impactful change.
